As a patient, it is your right to express a preference of practitioner at your first visit. If you do have a preference you should let the receptionist know when booking an appointment. Associate dentists are self-employed, independent contractors and are personally responsible for the treatment they provide.

Our practices have disabled access, ground floor surgeries, disabled toilets and hearing loops. If you require any assistance our team will be happy to help.

Terms and Conditions
Treatment plans
A treatment plan estimate will be provided at an exam or consultation.
If this plan changes due to radiographic or clinical findings we will inform you and discuss this with you.
We will ask you to sign your estimate as part of your informed consent for treatment.
Treatment plans are valid for 60 days from the date the treatment was prescribed. If you have any queries regarding your treatment plan please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Consent forms
Certain treatments require completion of consent forms. This is in order to explain the treatment, risks and aftercare before any of these treatments are carried out
Payments
All appointments carry a deposit fee and this is paid prior to attendance.
Longford Dental Centre does not operate a credit account system and we require remaining fees to be settled at the appointment that treatment is provided.
Where treatment incurs a laboratory fee, at least 50% of the total fee is due at the appointment where impressions are taken. Fees for certain treatments like adult orthodontics are taken in staged payments at each visit.
Longford Dental Centre has the right to charge time based deposits for booking future appointments.
Late cancellations & missed appointments
In these circumstances other patients are deprived of seeing the dental surgeon or Hygienist. We reserve the right to charge the cost of lost clinical time for appointments that are failed to attend or that are cancelled without at least 24 working hours notice - Monday to Friday only. Monday appointments are required to be cancelled by 12pm the Friday prior. Deposits taken at time of booking appointment will be charged and will not be refunded. It is the patient’s responsibility to attend booked appointments. Reminders are sent out of courtesy by the practice.
Personal medical details
It is essential that Longford Dental Centre has a full and up to date medical history; this includes a list of any medication you may take. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure these details are correct and up to date.

Zero tolerance
Our practices have a Zero Tolerance Policy. Physical and verbal abuse against our staff is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Patients breaching this policy will not be treated at the practice and will be removed from the practice list.
